BEHIND THE MODEL
There is so much that lies behind Anya……. so much- at times the eyes of a lens can detect it … others not even the best can steal her meaning. I was born with wings & flying to me, is the full embellishment of my creative abilities. When I express my ingenious', I begin to breathe, lending my voice to the Arts of choice- be it Musically, Editorial, or Film Writing... I'm given the air my being so badly desires.. This is the only time I'm truly free, this is when I'm alive. At complete peace my soul sits. Fully content- as my wings slowly begin to extend…and I am my authentic transcendent self.
My first taste of the entertainment world started at the age of 5, in Trinidad my Island of origin, through Runway Modeling- my Dad’s clothing line. His children line was inspired by us- my brother and I, unto a later additon of his adult collection . He then expanded his line that started from our small workshop then to Normandy Hotel in Port of Spain to the US of A.
Since then in my relocating to New York City, I continued on in my pursuit...my passion. And has since then been adorned in many Fashion collections, graced Runways, Events, featured in Catalogs, unto T.V. & Film. I’ve been blessed to be in the realm of the things colaborated which defines me, and have been embraced by those who are connected to the right opening doors.
So what’s behind Anya? – what has she been in?- who is she on a personal note?- what does she aspire- & what does she wish to embark upon the Earth & those who follow her????
As an un-revealed yr. young Model/Actress I’ve been blessed over the years to have graced some popular stages, scenes, exhibitions, & Independent Films. To name a few- you could search & find me in the NAACP, Williamsburg, Sandra Berquero & ArtMeetsFashion Limelight Fashion Shows. The OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) in the T.V. series ‘Unfaithful’-(2 Episodes), ‘Petunia’, ‘Horizon’, ‘The Return Of Jezebel James’, ‘Mending Fences’, ‘The Interpreter’, ‘Monkey Take Off Your Mask’, …& a few other T.V. shows & Films.
So what's behind Anya.. . well look to the left. This tall concrete foundational structure... to remind me to always give a billion% as if my back is always against a wall. What inspires me is the ability to read into life’s meaning at a very early age- taking control of the gifts and talents I have been given. What inspires me... the God that stands beside me, within me, & breathes through me. For without Him I am lost, my hope sits shallow, my peace of mind & heart is void. What motivates me are the many talented Artist & Minds who have walked before me & made a voice for themselves- (Tupac, Barack Obama, Martin Luther King, Oprah, The Beetles, Tyler Perry, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Nina Simone, Al Green, The Mamas & The Papas, Nas, Al Pacino) to name a few.
Some of my work:---Paul Mathieu (famous French Artist) Model/Actress responsible for the reenactment of- ‘Black Horses Paintings’ for his Art Exhibition collection in 2010, Harlem NY. Model in ‘The Knot Bridal Magazine’- wearing Youlin’s Bridal collection, ‘VA Hamptons Resort Catalog & Website’, Music Video- for Reggae Artist PapaLova & ‘Talking Mermaids’-VA Commercial.
You see... those who have walked before and has perfected their craft on various levels are now…. unforgettable. As I too hope to one day be. The thing is- I possess this undying motivation to continued growth in the Film & Modeling world, so much so that although not always chased…it seems to follow. Since the spark of my career I have met, vibed with, even associated with a number of celebrities (such as Kanye West, Commom, Busta Rhymes, Spliff Star, Buju Banton, Estelle, Marshall Mantano, Wyclef, Kevin Little, Method Man, Merlin Santana R.I.P, Malik Yoba, Godfrey, Nicole Kidman & a few others). This has somewhat solidified my theory that in being so comfortable around & feeling totally at home with such folk it must be a sign of faith that it is in my destiny to be on their caliber- or in the eventual consistency of such beautiful souls.

The things I wish to embark upon the Earth is that you can truly be spoiled… have any and everything you desire. I do also believe nothing happens by mistake... or chance- and that some if not all things are just pre-destined, and although staring into the eyes of it at the moment it may seem totally without-a-doubt puzzling, the answer to that no-brainer is soon to unfold. In this life…all you have to do is believe & ask…..and it’s yours if He (The Creator) sees fit…..
I want to leave this Earth with the knowledge of my experiences, my life, my lessons, my pull from a world of darkness into Light, my understanding of Good & evil…whether believed or not- accepted or rejected- grasped or thrown back- I want folks to know that there is a Greater… Higher force- there is such a thing as evil and spiritual wickedness, there is such a thing as the power of prayer casting out demons. I wish to share my first Film | Thriller Written + Co-Produced '19, highlighting my gifts & sharing knowledge with my Neo's out there. Giving an indepth hands-on tool kit for perseverance on your journey throughout the hell-ish layers of this earth. 'Know that you are here with a direct purpose- to enjoy and live life as small bites of heaven- as your elevated self- once you embark upon your gifts & understand them fully.' I just want to know that my life, my words, my experiences will help at least one generation… one day!!
